Undergrad FPGA Engineer @ NU CPCC

Accomplishments
- Developed a wavelength-agnostic, time multiplexed, FPGA-based system to encode packet data on a quantum payload.
 - Demonstrated packet switching with quantum payloads over a metropolitan fiber link between Chicago and Evanston.
 - Presented results at Frontiers in Optics + Laser Science 2024.
 
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the lab's FPGA system to perform traditional 10 GB/s optical networking for our quantum networking project.
 - Provide insight and advice regarding equipment purchases.
 - Manage the e-cycling of old electronics and computers in the lab.

- Spearheaded a preventative maintenence routine among all student workers, with efforts focused on locations derived from quantitative analysis of ticket databases.
 - Initiated an environmentally friendly equipment upcycling and donation program for old but operational AV equipment.

- Support classroom instruction, hybrid meetings, and conferences for faculty, administration, and university executives.
 - Manage and train a team of 4 student workers to run preventative maintenance operations.
